The State of Preaching Today

Perhaps it is becoming more apparent that preaching in the Church today is lacking. How many people do you run into who are unsatisfied at their church? They may give different reasons (music is old, boring, not enough activities, people aren't friendly, to small, too big…), but I submit to you their dissatisfaction is rooted in a lack of the Word of God.

God's people are starving for His Word! Al Mohler recently blogged on this topic and I recommend that you read it here. He clearly articulates the ripples that result from a non-expositional, fluffy, ear tickling pulpit ministry.

May God revive our churches and our pulpits!
